Sri Astuti Thamrin is an associate professor who is working in the Statistics Department at Universitas Hasanuddin, Indonesia. She has conducted research on the various issues related to non-infectious disease. She has been doing research about COVID-19, people and connectivity which was funded by Australia-Indonesia Centre (AIC) in 2020. Right now, she is involving in statistical machine learning to predict obesity for basic health research survey data (RISKESDAS) in Indonesia. Currently, she serves as a vice Chair of the Statistics Society Forum. She served also as a member of International Statistical Institute and is a 2018 Conference Awards for Scientists, Conference fund for developing countries from International Society for Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB). Ms. Thamrin has a Bachelor of Statistics Science from Universitas Hasanuddin and a master's degree at The University of Newcastle and PhD in Statistical Science from the School of Mathematical Science at Queensland University of Technology.
